RESIDENCIAL LANDSCAPES
Sabanera Residence
Design Completion: 2025
The front yard design for this residence in the community of Sabanera, Dorado, Puerto Rico, brings together form, color, and movement to create a welcoming arrival sequence. Curved lines guide the layout of plants and pathways, introducing a soft flow that contrasts with the home’s architecture. A gravel and stone path leads toward the backyard gate, providing both functionality and visual rhythm.
Plant selections such as Agapanthus (Agapanthus africanus), Dianella (Dianella tasmanica), Azulejo (Evolvulus glomeratus), Ruellia (Ruellia simplex), Bromeliads (Neoregelia and Aechmea), Heliconia (Heliconia bihai), and Albizia (Albizia julibrissin) add layers of texture and vibrant color. Their varied forms and tones create a character that feels lively yet cohesive at the entry. Boulders were thoughtfully placed within the planting beds to ground the composition and highlight the plant palette.
The outcome is a dynamic landscape that enhances the property’s curb appeal while enriching the everyday experience. With a balance of structure and natural flow, the front yard offers shade and an inviting first impression to everyone.
